Course Operation: Green Island is a Member owned private country club. A George Cobb design with Champion Bermuda Greens and 419 Tees and Fairways.
Duties: Assist Superintendent in all aspects of daily operations of the course and grounds.
Salary: Depends on Experience, very competitive

Requirements: Minimum of 2 year Turf Degree, Champion greens experience preferred, must have a GA Pesticide license or obtain license within 90 days..

Senior Assistant Superintendent

Atlanta Country Club
Marietta, GA
Primary Purpose: The Senior Assistant Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent.  The Senior Assistant Superintendent directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course property and supervision of the maintenance crew and does related work as required.  The Senior Assistant Superintendent may serve in the superintendent’s capacity during their absence.
Duties: Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance of the property by scheduling work and supervising the employees and the use of the equipment.  Instructs equipment operators on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment; supervises and participates in the operation and maintenance of pumps, and in the maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.  Assists in personnel management and evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and may also modify the daily work schedule based on professional interpretation.  Performs routine safety inspections of all equipment; instills safety as a primary thought during all training.  Must be able to read and interpret chemical labels.  Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of Maintenance facility work area, storage areas and equipment.  Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.  Locates and identifies weeds or invasive plants and implements appropriate eradication and control measures.  Opens and closes locks and unlocks facilities as needed.  Assists in the development and enforcement of policies, rules and regulations for the golf course. Performs all other related tasks as deemed necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Ability to read and write; ability to perform basic arithmetic.  Able to perform calibration of sprayers and spreaders.  Knowledge of chemicals and calibration of pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides.  Knowledge of various chemicals used in the industry; ability to use such in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions.  Must present a positive, professional image.  Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.  Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.  Reliable and predictable attendance.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors; ability to work cooperatively with employees, and the general public.  Ability to work independently to carry out assignments to completion and to carry out assignments with minimal instructions.  Working knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 Dependent on Experience

Requirements: 2-4 year degree in Turf Management or related field. A minimum of 2 years in a technical or 2nd Assistant Position Preferred but not required.  Valid Driver License.

Assistant Superintendent

Waterfall Club
Clayton, GA

Course Operation: Waterfall is a full service private club located in the North Georgia mountains overlooking Lake Burton. The 18 hole mountain style golf course offers a very unique experience with Zeon zoysia tees, fescue rough, L-93 bentgrass fairways and greens.
Duties: The assistant position is a hands on leadership role involving all aspects of golf course maintenance operations, including but not limited to: pesticide calibration/application, irrigation troubleshooting/repair, overseeing and assisting with in-house projects, course construction, crew management and daily tasks.
Salary: $14-17/Hr + OT.
Health and life insurance, 401K, PTO, national and local association dues, continuing education expenses, uniforms, meals, golfing privileges.
Requirements: Degree/certificate in Turfgrass Management, or related field, and prior golf course maintenance experience on bentgrass is required. This position requires a high energy, self motivated team player who has a desire to progress within the industry. Candidate must possess a Georgia pesticide applicators license, or able to obtain, within 90 days of hire.

Assistant Superintendent

Course Operation: 18 holes semi private Champion Bermudagrass greens. Coastal golf course with numerous marshes and wetlands.
Duties: Assist the superintendent with crew management, course setup, fertilization, chemical applications, and irrigation repair.
Salary: $40,000.
Health and dental available, holiday pay and sick leave, golf privileges.
Requirements: Turf degree or 1-3 years' experience required. Spray license or ability to acquire one on 90 days. Strong work ethic required.
