Duties: The candidate must have a strong work ethic with the ambition and determination to complete tasks and the desire to become a successful superintendent. The candidate will be required to obtain a MS spray applicators license.

Assistant Superintendent

Brookstone Golf & Country Club
Acworth, GA

Course Operation: Brookstone Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole private facility built in 1989 and designed by Larry Nelson. The greens are Champion bermudagrass, fairways and rough are predominantly Tifway 419 bermuda, and the tees are a variety of zoysia and bermuda.
Duties: Provides assistance to Superintendent in all facets of daily operation
-Acts as Superintendent on duty in the absence of the Superintendent
-Maintains the appearance and safety of the course by diagnosing and reporting agronomic issues; managing irrigation system adjustments and scheduling; maintaining a wide variety of turfgrasses in extreme climatic conditions, managing course preparations for tournament and daily play; operating various hand and power tools as needed to accomplish mowing, edging or cultivation as needed; integrating environmental programs specializing in IPM; overseeing maintenance of the golf cart fleet; assisting in the coordination, scheduling and supervising capital improvement projects
-Manages maintenance operations (employees involved in maintaining greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, bodies of water, roughs, maintenance shop, golf carts and clubhouse) by providing assistance in recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, supervising, and correcting when necessary; assists Superintendent in executing safety meetings
-Assists with administrative functions by maintaining maintenance records and developing required maintenance reports; tracking maintenance expenses including payroll, supplies, fertilizer, chemicals, etc; and informing Superintendent of parts, supplies or equipment needed.
-Performs manual labor as needed
-Ensures a clean and orderly maintenance compound at all times
-Implements and support all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
-Other duties may be assigned by management.
Salary: $34,000-$38,000 annually DOE.

Landscape Manager

Atlanta Country Club
Marietta, GA

Primary Purpose:  The prestigious Atlanta Country Club is seeking a Landscape Manager with a great eye for detail, design experience, and extensive knowledge of plants/trees. This is a hands on position which will assist the Golf Course Superintendents in assuring that that the Club is landscaped to the highest of industry and Club standards. The Landscape Manager will oversee a landscape maintenance crew in performing general landscape duties on a day to day basis.
Duties: Oversee the development and management of landscaping throughout the golf course, clubhouse and common areas. Assist in budget preparation with regard to landscaping materials and crew requirements. Manage, coordinate, train and monitor the performance of the landscape crew to be safe and efficient.  Suggest design improvements and make plant/tree recommendations.  Ability to interface with Club Members when questions or concerns arise.  Must be flexible and is required to perform any job as requested by the Golf Course Superintendents that may be necessary for landscaping throughout the property.
Salary:
$16-$18/hr depending on experience.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a minimum of 3‐5 years’ experience in Landscape maintenance with some experience in a supervisory role. Formal education in the landscape or horticulture field is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Special Requirements: Self-motivated and detail oriented.  Work outside in extreme elements all year around.
