18 Hole Private Club TifEagle Greens, 419 Tees and Fairways, Rain Bird Irrigation System.
Duties: • Assist in planning, monitoring, and record keeping in the maintenance of the golf course.• Directly supervises and instructs employees on the use and care of turf equipment, application of fertilizer and pesticide applications, service of the irrigation system, daily job duties, and special projects.• Assist in maintaining golf course operating and capital budgets.• Irrigation inspection and repairs.• Scheduling of job duties.• Inventory, invoices, payroll, purchasing.

Assistant Superintendent

The Chimneys Golf Course

Course Operation:
The Chimneys Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal golf course owned by the City of Winder with Bentgrass greens, 419 Bermuda Tees, aprons, fairways and rough, with some fescue areas. Toro Osmac irrigation system.
Duties: Assists the Superintendent in all tasks involved in maintaining the golf course. The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Course Superintendent and the Director of Golf Operations. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to, daily planning, execution and recording, fertilizer and chemical applications, irrigation management and repair, crew management and training, and project execution. A high level of communication and organization is required for the success of all tasks and responsibilities.
Salary: $14-$16/hr, based on experience.

Assistant Superintendent

Harbor Club on Lake Oconee

Course Operation:
The Harbor Club is an 18 hole layout designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish located on the banks of Lake Oconee. The putting greens are a blend of A1/A4 Bentgrass, while the remainder of the course is predominately 419 Bermudagrass with select tees being Zoysiagrass of varying cultivars.
Duties: The Assistant Superintendent will aid the Superintendent and Turf Care Staff to help maximize daily playing conditions and team productivity. The ideal candidate should have the motivation and ability to lead and manage a crew of 10. This includes a working knowledge of agronomic practices and their implementation, problem solving, communication skills, organization skills, the ability to plan, a positive attitude and desire to learn.
Salary: $38,000 - $42,000 depending on experience.
Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement, health insurance provided (no premium) after 90 days, uniforms, golfing privileges, GCSAA and GGCSA dues and expenses for attendance at select events. Paid time off. Bonus potential.
Requirements: Turfgrass Management degree preferred (2 or 4 year). Other candidates will be considered but should have extended on course experience and management skills. Experience with Bentgrass management in Georgia or the Transition Zone preferred and emphasized.

Salary: $13 - $15 an hour with the ability to earn overtime pay through the Summer months.

Assistant Superintendent

Druid Hills Golf Club

Course Operation:
1912 H.H. Barker design that annually hosts the Dogwood Invitational. Located minutes from downtown Atlanta. 18 Hole private facility with A1/A4 bentgrass greens, TifSport Fairways and rough, 50% of the tees are Zoysia, with the other 50% Bermuda. Bunkers redesigned with Better Billy Bunker in last 3 years.
Duties: Assists the Superintendent in maintaining the golf course and any other associated grounds. This is a management position that will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent may serve in the Superintendent’s capacity during his/her absence. The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in planning and executing agronomic and cultural programs for the property, and will be responsible for overseeing and training all staff on safety, and proper care and use of equipment. The Assistant Superintendent will train, scout, and work with the Spray Technician and Irrigation Technician. This position is a co-Assistant position that will work closely with another Assistant to manage the day-to-day operation. Projects a positive image of self and Druid Hills Golf Club at all times.
Salary: $45,000-$50,000 plus bonus potential.
