Course Operation: White Columns Country Club is a 18 hole private facility that opened in 1993. The course is a Tom Fazio design that offers Crenshaw bentgrass greens with 419 bermuda fairways and tee's. In the fall of 2015, every bunker was renovated to Better Billy Bunker.
Duties: The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Superintendent in the operating functions of the Golf Course Maintenance Department to ensure the healthy growth of the golf course & Clubhouse Grounds grasses, trees, wetlands, and other plant materials. The duties include turfgrass/plant material maintenance programs, property/asset management, assisting with forecasting and expense management, scheduling and maintenance of irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance of regulatory issues as directed by the Superintendent.The Assistant Superintendent will participate in the hiring, training and developing all staff, including ensuring the staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions.The first assistant superintendent will assist the golf course superintendent with supervision, training, planning and evaluating staff and processes. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate to staff is key in providing a safe, highly effective team. The first superintendent reports directly to the superintendent and therefore is an integral part of the management team at White Columns. This position will gain knowledge and will be directly involved in budgeting, planning, purchasing and executing daily operations.
Salary: $16.00+ per hour, DOE with significant OT during the summer.

Duties: Druid Hills Golf Club is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team! We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, team player with a desire to learn and grow in the industry and one day become a Superintendent. JOB SUMMARY Assists the Superintendent in maintaining the golf course and any other associated grounds. This is a management position that will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent may serve in the Superintendent’s capacity during his/her absence. The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in planning and executing agronomic and cultural programs for the property, and will be responsible for overseeing and training all staff on safety, and proper care and use of equipment. The Assistant Superintendent will train, scout, and work with the Spray Technician and Irrigation Technician. This position is a co-Assistant position that will work closely with another Assistant to manage the day-to-day operation.
