Course Operation: Dunwoody Country Club is a private 18 hole golf course located in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Dunwoody has grown from a short lived idea of a golf course out in the suburbs to one of the most prestigious country clubs in the South. It is a vibrant, social, family - oriented Country Club with a full range of services and facilities. Grass types at DCC include Miniverde greens, Tifgrand tees, and 419 fairways and rough.
Duties: Work closely with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent on agronomic planning. Calibrate sprayers/spreaders and apply pesticides/fertilizers. Maintain records and inventory of all products used. Operate all golf course equipment. Moisture management on greens. Assist with supervision of staff and small projects. Irrigation troubleshooting and repair. Other duties and tasks as directed by Superintendent and Assistant.
Salary: $14 - $16 hourly DOE.

Second Assistant

Daniel Island Club

Course Operation: Daniel Island Club consists of two golf courses, Beresford Creek (Tom Fazio Design) and Ralston Creek (Rees Jones Design). Beresford Creek completed an extensive renovation to include bunkers (capillary concrete) and conversion of all tees, fairways and approaches to Latitude 36 Bermudagrass. Ralston Creek will complete an extensive renovation in 2019 to include bunkers (capillary concrete), conversion of tees, fairways and approaches to Latitude 36 and greens renovation (TifEagle). The Practice Facilities include a state-of-the-art Teaching Facility, over ten acres of maintained turf to include front and back practice tees and short game area.
Duties: Assists in the day to day operation of the golf course. The Assistant should be able to assist in the management and acclimation of a large crew of full time, part time, and seasonal employees. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations: An understanding of agronomics related to plant health, soil management and pesticide applications; An understanding and commitment to water and environmental management; Mathematic, budgetary and computers skills; Ability to operate golf course maintenance equipment in a safe manner; Ability to manage diverse employee population of 50+ employees and follow-up of assigned tasks; Able to troubleshoot problems and have an eye for details; Assist in promoting and enforcing safety practices in accordance with the club's policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulations; Participates in course renovations, such as sod laying or removal, sprigging, tree and landscape projects; Assists in operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 lbs. and work long hours outside in heat and humidity. Strongly encouraged to play golf, and have knowledge of the game, rules of golf and methods of play. Ability to speak basic workplace Spanish.
Salary: $35,000 - $40,000.

Course Operation: Polo Golf & Country Club is an 18 hole Joe Lee design course with newly renovated bunkers. A1-A4 Bentgrass greens and 419 fairways, tees and rough. We also maintain a swim/tennis facility that has 12 courts and 2 pools.
Duties: Assist the management team with the training, scheduling, and supervision of the maintenance crew. Must be very hands-on and dedicated to providing excellent playing conditions daily. This position involves greens moisture management, irrigation maintenance and repair, pesticide and fertilizer applications, record keeping, and the flexibility to help out wherever needed.
Salary: $30,000.

Course Operation:  Capital City Club was established in 1883 and is one of the oldest private clubs in Atlanta. Brookhaven is an 18 hole Bob Cupp design in North Atlanta.  It features A-1 greens, Zorro tees and fairways, and 419 Bermuda roughs.
Duties: Responsible for all aspects of pesticide & fertilizer applications (inventory management, calibration, application, records, etc).  Responsible for all aspects of irrigation management (scheduling, inventory management, maintenance, and repair).  Daily involvement with Assistant GCS in crew management and supervision for all golf course tasks.
Salary: $40,000 - 43,000 (Hourly)

Spray Technician II

Course Operation:
Georgia's largest public golf resort known for true Southern hospitality and legendary landscapes. 63 holes, tif-eagle and tif-dwarf greens.
Duties: Detects damage to turf, plants, shrubs, and trees, diagnoses cause of damage and determines a treatment plan to rectify problems. *Mixes chemicals for proper applications and applies required treatments to damaged greenery. *Monitors results of treatments and adjusts dosages applied as needed. *Applies pesticides with careful regard to the safety of humans, wildlife and environment; adheres to legal requirements and recommendations of manufacturers regarding the application of chemicals*Calibrates equipment to ensure the proper application of chemicals regarding quantity and effectiveness. *Maintains accurate records of chemical usage and locations of usage. *Adjusts treatment applications during inclement weather conditions. *Responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of golf courses by performing various golf maintenance duties including mowing, pruning, clearing debris, etc. *Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas, including cleanup, disposal, spill containment, etc., in compliance with regulations, responsible for the safe handling of chemicals and assists superintendent with chemical inventory. *Completes daily reports, regularly communicates activities to superintendent.
Salary: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour (DOQ).

Advanced degree preferred.

Irrigation Technican

Course Operation:
HBCC is a privately-owned 18 hole private country club located in Roswell. The property has Champion Bermuda Greens, TifGrand Approaches and Collars, Zoysia Tees and 419 Fairways and Roughs along with several acres of Fine and Tall Fescue.
Duties: The Irrigation Technician will oversee all aspects of the irrigation system on the golf course including clubhouse, swim and tennis grounds. Will work closely and take guidance from the Superintendent and 1st Assistant Superintendent. Basic irrigation knowledge and understanding is required. The job is full-time with weekends off, unless there is an emergency repair needed.
Salary: $15-18.00 per hour.
Benefits: Insurance available after 90 days. Ability to golf when the club is closed. Uniforms provided.
Requirements: At least 1 year of irrigation experience.
