Course Operation: Created by nature and enhanced by man, RiverPines Golf located in Johns Creek, Georgia is an 18-hole golf course with lush Bermuda fairways and perfectly manicured bentgrass greens. This wonderful 18-hole layout is nestled along the banks of the Chattahoochee River and provides a great golf experience along with its breathtaking natural surroundings. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, we also have a 9-hole par three course and practice facility which includes a practice range, pitching area and practice putting greens.
Duties: Responsibilities include: • Works in conjunction with the Owner to develop, prepare and maintain the facilities maintenance budget. • Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a long range plan for golf course/grounds/common area’s improvement. • Participates with the management team in guideline/policy development, and its implementation • Staff supervision and development • Assists in the development and coordination of tournament/"outing" procedures and policies governing play on the golf facilities with the Head Golf Professional and Food and Beverage Manager • Establishes mowing heights for fairways, greens, roughs, grounds and common areas • Responsible for all phases of purchasing, inventory storage, and storage compliance as per applicable regulatory bodies • Responsible for strict records system including, but not limited to, equipment and the maintenance thereof, staff training, safety training, parts inventory, daily log, fertilizer/ chemical application records and fertilizer/ chemical inventory, rainfall and water usage, fuel records and any regulatory reporting requirements. • Manages and directs equipment inventory; manages and directs required maintenance to keep mechanicals in good condition and/or recommends necessary purchases. Informs management as to inventory product availability and significant cost changes • Adheres to strict management, organization, accounting, invoice processing procedures and purchase order systems • Responsible for proper cleanliness, maintenance and organization of the entire maintenance facility and its grounds. • Responsible for maintaining sanitary and safety standards in the highest accordance with those of the federal, state and county codes and regulations and as prescribed by management; any/all cleaning assignments as directed by supervisor; picks up trash at anytime on all parts of the facility • Works holidays and weekends • Provides optimal customer service and complies with dress code.
Salary: $65K or more based on experience with an opportunity to earn a performance based bonus.

Requirements: Qualified candidates will have: • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with turf grass concentration or related field. • 8-10 years of experience including superior knowledge in proper fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, nematicides and other chemical control methods and related uses. • Current applicable state and/or federal approved chemical applicator's license and current valid driver's license. • Superior knowledge of both bent and Bermuda grass • Excellent experience and knowledge in the irrigation system installation, repair and efficiency scheduling. • Demonstrated leadership skills focusing on accountability in an empowering environment using positive reinforcement. • Strong supervisory skills including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. • Basic Computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Adaptable, innovative, enthusiastic, resourceful and must possess high integrity with the ability to work as a team.

Golf Course Superintendent
Big Canoe POA
Jasper, GA
Course Operation: Big Canoe Golf Club is a private, 27-hole, mountain golf course with bentgrass greens, Bermuda fairways and rough and Bermuda/zoysia tees. The practice facility consists of a full driving range, practice bunker, chipping green and two putting greens. Originally opened in 1972, all three nine hole courses have been renovated by Boswell Golf Design beginning with Creek in 2000, Cherokee in 2006 and Choctaw in 2007.
Duties: The golf course superintendent is responsible for supervising the maintenance of the golf course and clubhouse grounds, development of annual operating budget and capital improvement budget, supervising a staff of hourly and salaried employees, inventory purchasing and controls, accurate record keeping, providing excellent customer service to property owners, guests and POA staff members and other duties as assigned by Director of Ground.
Salary: $60,000.

Requirements: Requires a 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field, a minimum of six (6) years of golf course experience and at least four (4) years as an assistant superintendent, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail as well as a high degree of motivation.
